So this weekend was filled by me playing mostly Wrath of the Lich King. I know I know, laugh at me, oh well, if 11 million players play it, I must not be the only closet dork. However, being a web manager, I’m pretty high on the closet dorkness.

I put off everything this weekend, I didn’t shower for two days, I didn’t shave, and I told the girlfriend that I wouldn’t be seeing her this weekend(she was shocked but she managed). I haven’t been able to really get to do anything I wanted in a long time due to real life obligations, friends, family functions, and other time consuming projects. But, this weekend I put my foot down and had a blast being with others online sharing the experience of new World of Warcraft content.

I’ve decided to level my Paladin first to 80 as that will no doubt take the longest to level, but in 2 days, Friday and Saturday, I managed to get to level 74. I can safely say that I will never sit in my room for two days living and breathing a video game, my back hurts, my legs hurt, and I didn’t eat or drink much. I was like a zombie drone staring at a computer screen killing pixel beasts.

I don’t really play it for the game, I play it because of the social aspect. I’ve been with the same guild for 4 years, and in that 4 years time I have made some really good friends and enjoy their company. I consider them friends because for a few hours on any given night were shooting the breeze and escaping reality. But, after Saturday night I realized I could never be addicted to a game like some other people are just because of the sheer fact that my body ached from playing that game so long.

So on Sunday, I got some flowers and candy, drove to my girlfriend’s place and thanked her for being a good sport about the whole thing. Back to real life I guess!

are both enjoying the zombie dance at the moment. Multiple stories have been popping up about the popular games getting infused with a little Halloween horror and how much of an homage it is giving to the scary undead. I’ve been playing WoW since release and the scourge invasion is as hilarious as it is fun.

GTA4 Zombie

I however am taking sides as there are people who can’t stand to be “griefed.” I haven’t played GTA4 in awhile but will certainly pop it in tonight to see whats up. As for this Halloween thing, its great. It’s finally nice to see games take on the approach of including a culture mix of holidays and game life. If it wasn’t for the Scourge invasion being added for the release of Wrath of The Lich King, I don’t know if I would have signed on to play or just waited until the expansion hit live.

As for Grand Theft Auto, I played it alot, in fact, it was a game that after your done in the story, its kinda like, see what kinda crazy stuff you can do yadda yadda. But, certainly give props to two huge games and their companies throwing in some unique storyline to keep the interest in their games at maximum capacity.

Many WoW(World of Warcraft) players out there have been comparing this game to the current game they lay allegiance with.  However, with a plethora of some cool advances and a more streamlined game play system…could Warhammer: Age of Reckoning give WoW a run for its money?  I would love to hope so seeing that this game brings a fresh new light on the MMORPG scene, because frankly 5 years of Warcraft, countless hours grinding until my eyes bleed is getting old.

I for one am a huge PvP(Player Vs. Player) buff, I love to do nothing more than pounds somebody’s face into the virtual ground and then go promplty after someone else.  Hold on there psycho parents, I keep my violence in game and thats where it stays.  Warhammer is introducing a cool way to do battle through their new RvR system.  Think of it, as a huge seamless battle between realm vs. realm.  But, unlike WoW, Warhammer has you gaining experience for quests done in the battle, xp for killing other players, and even loot from those dead players!  It’s almost like a cream come true for someone like myself who is sick and tired of the cookie cutter arena based pvp system that WoW has you again grind countless hours in trying to even get enough points to earn your gear.    That’s frustrating, but, RvR is an awesome welcome as its totally seamless at the moment and actually makes you feel like your part of the war!

Another great addition in this game is the fact that if your in a guild, you no longer feel like your just part of a name.  Your guild works togethor as a team in RvR, completing public quests and earning experience points for the guild itself, unlocking new things.   Also, the dye system for your clothing is a cool little addition that I’m sure WoW will steal once its released.  All you do is pay a couple of copper and you can change the color of your clothing, creating a style for however each player feels the need to look.  Finally, players will be able to adorn trophies, of alot of cool achievements, heads of players, killed special in game characters, etc. etc.

If anything, if this game fails, and falls to the pressure of the mega giant(WoW).  You can totally assure that WoW will be taking qualities from Warhammer and putting them in the game.  Oh yea they already have…achievements, and their full zone PvP.  However, I can safely say, I won’t be cancelling my account to WoW anytime soon, but I will certainly be trying out Warhammer come September 18th!

Well, with the release of Madden 09 approaching us, the player weapons seem pretty standard as always. With the addition of Rookies there isn’t much new to who is listed and who is not. The only thing I disagree with is that Eli Manning is more accurate of a quarterback than Ben Roethlisberger. I don’t know if its because he won the Super Bowl, but Ben has always had a higher completion percentage, than Eli. Even with his season where he led the league in interceptions. So without further ado, you can find the link to the player weapons here. Madden NFL 09 Player Weapons.

Notable Players:

Darren Sproles – Elusive Back
Joe Flacco – Cannon Arm QB
Ryan Grant – Power Back
Rashard Mendenhal – Power Back
Darren McFadden – Stiff Arm Ball Carrier
Adrian Peterson – Stiff Arm Ball Carrier
Jerricho Cotchery – Possession Receiver
Limas Sweed – Spectacular Catch Receiver
Mario Manningham – Spectacular Catch Receiver

As for all of the other players, its more of the same. Like I said, my only problem was the Eli/Ben thing and that’s because I am a Steeler fan. But, all is well that ends well. Read and Enjoy!

Well E3 is here and news is coming out the woodwork on various games, design changes, exclusive gaming news and all.  But, I am most intrigued by the new screens that show the new Xbox navigation system.  Apparently were getting avatars much like the Yahoo based system that people can check out and see what were into with a more visual appeal.

I’m not so much excited about it as seeing the screens almost look like it has taken a step back in terms of what it looks like now to possibly what it could look like.   My biggest concern just is the overall feel and all that jazz.  Most importantly though were going down the slippery slope of the facebook battle of watching us at all times and keeping everyone else updated.  There is I believe an option to turn it off, but hopefully they don’t remove it.

Also, a new party update is going to be available with private chat rooms and game joinings to boot.  With me being a hardcore bad company player at the moment I am loving it.  In fact, I would enjoy that 8 people can play different games and all chat togethor at one time.  This is indeed why Xbox live is the social giant that it is today.  It isn’t so much about games as it is a multimedia socialiate sharing moment.
