I recently heard about WB releasing the 6 minutes of Dark Knight at another screening premier. It was posted online then abruptly taken down shortly after. It took a good half hour finding a version I could watch and, holy crap, is it going to be amazing. The first 6 minutes of this freaking movie is so gripping. It simply starts out with a group of robbers getting ready to rob a high price Gotham Bank, and all of them questioning who the Joker is. While each of them is picked off one by one by another masked robber, we all come to find out that the Joker does his deals hands on.

I can’t believe how well it shows that Heath Ledger plays his character. It’s almost as if insanity and beautiful combine into one warped mind of a character. I however can’t wait to see what Harvey Dent turns into. Just this last week they released the tailor’s including Two-Face after being burned. It’s just going to be crazy, and I can say that I may see this movie more than once opening weekend. It’s going to be major. Linked below are various tailors.

The past week has been awesome gaming for me. With the release of Bad Company(been a long time fan of the franchise), reading up on some Star Wars Unleashed info, and now after Blizzard hinted at it during the week Diablo 3 was announced at the worldwide invitational.

I am incredibly excited for the pc gaming lineup because I’ve grown up on Starcraft and Diablo, and eventually evolving into World of Warcraft. But, to me Diablo has been the staple of the company until it created the omega World of Warcraft game that over 10 million of us gamers feel in love with. So now, with the information that is coming from the Diablo news release, I will post some facts known about the upcoming game below.  About the only thing I am concerned about after watching the videos is what kind of hardware you need to handle this type of game.  Other than that, I’ll be emmersed back into the world of Diablo, and will have a much needed break from the WoW universe.

Things Known:

  • The game takes places 20 years after the second Diablo ended.
  • The Sanctuary will be an evolving 3-d world.
  • Multiplayer again will be a staple of the game over the newly created Battle.Net portals.
  • The game will be powered by the Havoc Physics system.
  • New character: Witch Doctor
  • Interactive Environments

Screen Shots:

Female Witch Doctor

I cannot tell you how pumped I am for this game. I’ll admit, when I was a kid I loved Star Wars. I hate the new movies except for the part where Vader becomes Vader. In all honesty I actually just watched Anakin become Vader on youtube haha.

The video games have always been topsy turvy with me. The battlefield games, where they were online only and for consoles kicked major ass. Other than that, I really didn’t care, but this game looks amazing.

The Force Unleashed is a game about being the new “apprentice” and learning how to master your powers. It’s just awesome, because I always liked the darker side of the force as a kid. I’m pretty excited that you start out as Darth Vader, with all the awesome tricks and powers at your disposal. The cinematic appeal of this game alone is worth it. Everything has been voiced over as well as the acting. The story is said to have a polished feel, and have multiple twists to keep you entertained. I can’t hardly wait.

The physics engine of the game is outstanding. The euphoria engine is bliss, and runs smooth. If you need an example of how it plays, just pop in GTA4. I really am amazed at how far technology has come, and am anxiously waiting to see how the AI reacts when you force grab them and dangle them in the air like a rag doll. Each AI apparently reacts different and can grab onto objects and hold onto them even suspended in the air.

Well, that is about all the info I have for you today. Below this little article, is the trailer for the game. Enjoy it, for it is pure awesome.

Living in Pittsburgh, we recently had a big trial in the news.  Daniel J. Montano pleaded guilty to 79 criminal mischeif accounts and it is believed to have done almost $300,000 worth of damage to this area, and an estimated amount of $750,000 from San Fransico(were his mother lives) to Pittsburgh.  I’m all for his punishment because he acknowledged what he did was wrong and knows of the damage he caused to buildings.

Now for the punishement.  In all honesty I don’t think jail is good for this guy.  He is an artist, an amazing artist at that, and should be put to community service.  While during his jail time, I think he should be sent to community’s and parks around the area, and put his heavily artistic influence to use providing murals for community parks, the zoo, Kennywood.  Make him to characterized history timelines of events and have them on display.  Rehabilitation for this person would go lengths to provide insite into his mindset.  Instead of damaging a building with art.  Provide a community with good and creating art that everyone can be proud of.  These kids are amazing at what they do, and simply put, whatever the hell they do with a spray can to make it so perfect is mind boggling to me.  As well as the fact that these can be done in a few hours if not less, as to avoid detetection is awesome.  But, I think its time to start showing these artistic displays off for the greater good, instead of revolting against the masses.

Big brother is getting closer and closer to controlling the masses folks!  Steve Jobs unveiled the new Iphone and boy does it look sleek and more affordable price.  Steve Jobs is quote as saying “We’ve learned so much with the first iPhone. We’ve taken what we’ve learned and more and created the iPhone 3G.”  I don’t know what I am more happy about.  The fact that every few months or so they release a new phone making it cheaper and more efficient.  Or the fact that whoever purchased the latest and best Iphone is getting screwed out of money due to the decrease in prices and new super releases of the same product.  Either way, its awesome.

I for one, don’t see why they can’t develop one Iphone with compatibility to just load everything off of the web.  I think that it would be more efficient as well as making their consumer pay more for the applications.  To me, it’s absurd that people are actually going out and buying these things up at such a fast pace.  This country is so upset about prices and economy, and our unwilling to cope with gas prices, yet we’ll go drop $300 bucks on a new phone because we have to have the latest and greatest…..is there something wrong there?

Call me crazy, but I see the problems that lie withtin there.  I forgot to mention how obessed society is with having the newest stuff to claim their social status.  Were all to blame though as well, its just as much our fault as it is the media outlet, because we eat this crap up like candy.

Hopefully it changes some day.  But, I worry as if something drastic has to happen before people even realize the total sense of hypocrisy they are living.

Pittsburgh Pirates fan.  Honestly, I love them to death, I bleed black and gold for all sports.  But, with baseball being my first true sports love, it’s hard to swallow that we are one of the worst teams around.

Yesterday was the home opener for the Buc’s and it was as thrilling as it could have been while losing.  Going down by 7 runs and coming back really does show that the team has some spirit and confidence with their bats.  Seriously though, I blame management for the loss yesterday.  Freaking Bixler should have ran home when Bautista bunted regardless of what it was.  It was far enough away from home and he could have gotten a huge jump on the pitch.  Being as it was the bottom of the 9th it would have ended the game and  sent everyone home with a smile on their face(except the Cubbies).

I blame management because, when the play went down everyone looked around confused and dumbfounded, so that means to me, that no-one was thinking suicide squeeze aside from Bautista, and his hit alone would have won the game for us.  I would have much rather of seen the inning end that way rather than the next guy striking out and losing later in the 12th inning.  Until plays like that smooth out and everyone is on the right page, maybe just maybe, the Pirates can come close to not losing 100 games.

I still think we need to spend more money and stop trying to farm within the organization.  I mean come on, Van Benshochten was a 30 HR outfielder before the Pirates “Brains” decided ultimately he would be a great pitcher.  Now look at him, he can barely pitch and will undoubtedly stay in the minors for the rest of his life.

It’s just disheartening, I would give anything to see the day in the life of the owner’s, honestly, the only reason they are keeping the team is to collect money at the end of each Pirate game regardless win or lose.  I will not doubt one thing though.  The Pirates are the best AAA Minor League baseball team in the MLB, and it’s not because of the players, it’s because of the money.
