So today I am pretty bored.  Usually Monday’s start off with a bang, but here at the office nothing out of the ordinary has happened.  We had one customer integration problem, but other than that, all I had to do was send it to our CMS database company and they work on it.

Sports are in a Lul moment, but I can safely say only 7 more weeks till vacation AND Steeler’s training camp.  I can’t freaking wait to go watch them(thats the glory of being a resident of Greensburg I guess haha)!  Other than that, the Celtics/Lakers series is turning out to be a pretty straight forward go around.  I’m rooting for the Celtics.  I love Coach Jackson, but when he went to the Lakers I felt he sold out.  I remember back when, the last championship Jackson won with the Bulls he said he was done….then the money pulled him right back.  I say more power to him, but it just comes off as a great way to join a stacked team with Kobe and Shaq to just gain some more rings.  Oh well, I’ll die with my tin-foil hate theorys hahaha.  Go Celtics!  I just want KG and Pierce to get a title, with what both of them have been through on mediocre teams and all, I hope they pull it off.

Hockey season is over and it ended on a stale note with the Pens, oh well maybe next year.  But, with what Hossa said earlier this week about signing for less, I really hope it comes through!  Although were gonna lose many decent players, maybe we can keep Sid and Hossa togethor for a few years.

Ok well other than that, I got nothing.  I hope everything is going smooth for the people that read my stuff out there.  Have fun and enjoy that weather.
P.S. Gas prices piss me off!

Ok, so I’ve been pondering the fact of adding forums for awhile, simply to try and stop the boredum of a day.  I wanted some place I could go, that has a little something for everything.  But, most of all I wanted to control it and be that awesome admin, most places don’t have.  I’m making this a democracy and taking the info and input that I get from the users and making adjustments to what they see fit.

The forums that I have added are mostly entertainment forums, but I have sports/politics/religion.  I created it yesterday so I am still smoothing things out.  Now my mission is to get users.  I want it to be alive with information/etc.  I want it to be a place that you can go to and learn about each other, life, media, all things entertainment.

But, I can’t do this without a few good people, and maybe two or three global administrators.  So please, I am asking, if your willing to help, sign up and let me know.  If you want to talk….please come!  Save my day.  Save your day, and maybe we can get through work a little easier 🙂

Since my Dali post is getting so many hits, I figured I should go ahead and write about another artist that I really dig, and try and pull alot of inspiration from when I try and create something worthwhile.  Andy Warhol being a local native of Pittsburgh immediatly grabbed my attention as a child because I felt that I instantly knew him(a sense of proudness I guess being born and raised around Pittsburgh…I was young…what can you expect…).  But, I grew up looking at his pictures thinking they were nice, full of color and crazy ideas, I just thought he was breaking the mold as to what other artists have done.  Now that I realize most of his drawings/painitngs/conceptions were all most likely drug induced, I still think they are amazing.

The 60’s were quite the time I would assume, and would like to for a day go back and just experience them.  Hell, I would love the fact that gas was practically free and everything was atleast a little simpler then.  But Warhol’s art is good enough to take me back and provide me an experience in American Pop Culture.

I guess I get more wrapped up in what the feeling was behind the art rather than the art itself, I should have taken a psychology course or something, just to dig deeper into the minds, and explore the thought processes of how things come about in life and the values and lessons they teach the artist.

The process is certainly fun, I enjoy reading and writing about these artist’s and how life has been handeled and constructed around them.  It certainly brings in a few more dimensions of our world.

So much has happened in the past couple of weeks, it’s been hard to post and actually spend some time on here!  I am now labeled as the Web Content Manger at Albert Elovtiz Inc.  The best way to describe what I do, is I am a web master.  I do all things web and deal with the web.  Pretty awesome because I can actually learn as I progress in my daily duties.
I loved where I came from, I’ll miss it for sure, but it was time to move on.  Life is funny like that.  Regardless of what anyone wants to think about being in control…your not.  Life doesn’t wait for anyone or anything.  This was just a simple case of me having to move on and grasp the opportunity that was given to me, and I am highly appreciative.  Moving on to another subject.  I am now thankfully back in the city of Pittsburgh…which was just rated the worst Soot city(http://green.yahoo.com/news/ap/20080501/ap_on_re_us/polluted_cities.html), taking of L.A.  Oh well though, I don’t notice it that much.

I’m a total city boy, I’m glad to be back in the city and seeing such a vast amount of culture and happenings on a daily basis.  It makes the 1 and 15 minute traffic commute in the morning bearable I guess.  That and you can always tell when a city is in a good mood.  The Penguins are in possible sweep mode of the New York Rangers, and the city is starting to have the feeling that we did when the Steeler’s went to the Super Bowl back in ’05.  It’s just an awesome feeling.

I’m just exstatic about the oppurtunities given when you work for them.  A new outlook on life, and a fresh start is totally warrented.  More to come as I figure this crazy awesome life out later….

has got to be one of the best bands I have recently discovered in a very long time.  They have captivated me from the moment I popped in the cd.  Their new album called “Fortress” is a screaming/break down laden/ heavy bass line tribute to what rock really should be.

The intricacies of the breakdowns/riffs, are mind blowing compared to the run of the mill bands that seem to be popping out albums faster than ever for their record companies to conform to the commercialism of this world today.

I have been frustrated lately with this kind of music, and I must admit, took a chance upon picking up their new cd in fear of it being more of the same.  I’ve heard their old stuff on Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/protestthehero) and was immediately drug in to the music upon it hitting my ears.  I was kind of worried that it was going to be a few songs heavy and the rest of it laced with boring unoriginal tracks, but upon the first go around was dead wrong.  From the way everything was produced to signing and playing their respective instruments, every single member of the band is as clean playing as the next.

I just couldn’t believe it, I have simply found a band so great,  among the mundane and simple.  Keep on rocking Protest the Hero.  Come to Pittsburgh, and I’ll gladly pay anything to come see you!

So Rock For The Heart is tonight….I must admit, I am kinda excited about it. I haven’t heard any of these bands and honestly, I’m not sure if its my cup of tea. Either way, I am highly excited, and skeptical all at the same time. I’m more of the hardcore metal type, I digg Suicide Silence, Through The Eyes of The Dead, Between the Buried and Me, Animosity etc. etc. I just love the rawness of their sounds, and their breakdowns. These bands tonight may not be what I listen to regularly or my cup of tea, but I am sure to enjoy it nonetheless. It’s pretty cool to have a job that you can say hosted a concert for charity and got to hang out and watch everything unfold behind the scenes. Planning for it, and all the behind the scene work has been pretty stressful, so I am highly excited for it to play out.

Other than that, I’ll be heading up to Grove City this weekend to hang out and blow off some steam. Should be a good time, it’s been a couple of years since I have been up there, so I am anxious to see what changed. I guess thats about it for this post, mostly it’s been a crazy hectic week trying to get restaurants to sign up for this dining card, and trying to get a candy guide ready for release next month. Keep it real.
