Well,  it’s Friday, quite possibly the best day of the week and I decided to add a top ten list to my blog!  I was reading and found it interesting that health magazine has a top ten list of most stressful jobs.  Some of these to me are shockers, I would figure like being in the Military would rank high, because it is a job, not just a duty.  But, I figured its a good tid bit to read!  I’ll post something else later today as well, probably something tech and or game related, but until then enjoy!

1 ) Inner City High School Teacher
2 ) Police Officer
3 ) Miner
4 ) Air Traffic Controller
5 ) Medical Intern
6 ) Stockbroker

Many WoW(World of Warcraft) players out there have been comparing this game to the current game they lay allegiance with.  However, with a plethora of some cool advances and a more streamlined game play system…could Warhammer: Age of Reckoning give WoW a run for its money?  I would love to hope so seeing that this game brings a fresh new light on the MMORPG scene, because frankly 5 years of Warcraft, countless hours grinding until my eyes bleed is getting old.

I for one am a huge PvP(Player Vs. Player) buff, I love to do nothing more than pounds somebody’s face into the virtual ground and then go promplty after someone else.  Hold on there psycho parents, I keep my violence in game and thats where it stays.  Warhammer is introducing a cool way to do battle through their new RvR system.  Think of it, as a huge seamless battle between realm vs. realm.  But, unlike WoW, Warhammer has you gaining experience for quests done in the battle, xp for killing other players, and even loot from those dead players!  It’s almost like a cream come true for someone like myself who is sick and tired of the cookie cutter arena based pvp system that WoW has you again grind countless hours in trying to even get enough points to earn your gear.    That’s frustrating, but, RvR is an awesome welcome as its totally seamless at the moment and actually makes you feel like your part of the war!

Another great addition in this game is the fact that if your in a guild, you no longer feel like your just part of a name.  Your guild works togethor as a team in RvR, completing public quests and earning experience points for the guild itself, unlocking new things.   Also, the dye system for your clothing is a cool little addition that I’m sure WoW will steal once its released.  All you do is pay a couple of copper and you can change the color of your clothing, creating a style for however each player feels the need to look.  Finally, players will be able to adorn trophies, of alot of cool achievements, heads of players, killed special in game characters, etc. etc.

If anything, if this game fails, and falls to the pressure of the mega giant(WoW).  You can totally assure that WoW will be taking qualities from Warhammer and putting them in the game.  Oh yea they already have…achievements, and their full zone PvP.  However, I can safely say, I won’t be cancelling my account to WoW anytime soon, but I will certainly be trying out Warhammer come September 18th!

Now that the new browser is out many people are having their words and chiming in good or bad about such product. However throughout the technology consensus, Chrome is supposedly lackluster in return….well, that’s great and call considering that Chrome is all of one day old.

I understand why Mozilla and Microsoft make big stinks saying their not impressed. However, we must look back to when navigator was king, they weren’t impressed with IE probably. IE wasn’t impressed with Firefox and now its the supposed “king” of the browsers. There mere fact that people are so quick to bash a less than 24 hour old product is just amazing. Not to mention that this product is considered a BETA product is even better. The browser will get better. It’s pretty much open to all developers to create their own widgets and share it to the world.

It will be big, just like Google does everything they do big. I however am quite excited about the new advancements, that could potentially be created because someone is willing to try and open new doors.

Just give Chrome more time to shine than 24 hours. All things great did not instantly happen, they were created and crafted time and time again until perfection.

The past week has been awesome gaming for me. With the release of Bad Company(been a long time fan of the franchise), reading up on some Star Wars Unleashed info, and now after Blizzard hinted at it during the week Diablo 3 was announced at the worldwide invitational.

I am incredibly excited for the pc gaming lineup because I’ve grown up on Starcraft and Diablo, and eventually evolving into World of Warcraft. But, to me Diablo has been the staple of the company until it created the omega World of Warcraft game that over 10 million of us gamers feel in love with. So now, with the information that is coming from the Diablo news release, I will post some facts known about the upcoming game below.  About the only thing I am concerned about after watching the videos is what kind of hardware you need to handle this type of game.  Other than that, I’ll be emmersed back into the world of Diablo, and will have a much needed break from the WoW universe.

Things Known:

  • The game takes places 20 years after the second Diablo ended.
  • The Sanctuary will be an evolving 3-d world.
  • Multiplayer again will be a staple of the game over the newly created Battle.Net portals.
  • The game will be powered by the Havoc Physics system.
  • New character: Witch Doctor
  • Interactive Environments
